The Historic Slocum House, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, is located in Downtown Vancouver Washington in Esther Short Park. This historic, two-story Victorian home was built in 1867 by Charles W. Slocum and his wife Laura. While not open to the public, this lovely house is the only building remaining in what was a residential section of old Vancouver.

Corridor Gallery Vancouver is an art gallery near Esther Short Park in Downtown Vancouver, with rotating exhibits quarterly. The gallery is located in the Esther Short Building which also houses offices and a community room. The large halls of the professional building serve as the gallery, open to self-guided walkthroughs.

The Community Room has been utilized for a variety of events, and can be attractively configured for trainings, team building, board meetings, evening receptions, social events, presentations, workshops, and others. The room is elegantly designed and versatile, making it the perfect backdrop for events, from casual to upscale. A full sliding glass wall opens to a beautifully landscaped and furnished private courtyard filled with comfortable seating, a fire pit and a water feature. The Community Room at the Esther Short Building offers a dynamic venue for indoor and outdoor activities unlike anything else available in the area.

A five-acre gem in the heart of Vancouver, Esther Short Park is the oldest public square in the state of Washington. It was established in 1853 and is now anchored at its southeast corner by the 69-foot Salmon Run Bell Tower. The system consists of 35 cast bronze bells that chime every quarter hour from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Esther Short Park also hosts several popular events and festivals throughout the year including the [Vancouver USA Arts & Music Festival](https://www.visitvancouverwa.com/event/vancouver-usa-arts-and-music-festival/27154/) in July and August.

USTA PNW NTRP Sectional Championships

Established in 1904, the USTA Pacific Northwest is one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association, the governing body of tennis. Based in Beaverton, Oregon, the USTA PNW is a 501c3 charitable nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis in the Pacific Northwest.  Operating in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and northern Idaho USTA PNW over 25,000 individual adult and junior members and over 200 organization members and providers, such as tennis facilities and community tennis associations, who also help us to promote the sport.
