Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) operates 13 libraries and a Bookmobile in Ingham County, offering books, movies, music, downloadables, public computers, WiFi, and a wide array of instructional and entertainment programs. Capital Area District Libraries

Located in the lower-level of the Downtown Lansing Library, the Book Burrow of Lansing is 2,000 sq. ft. of space, with thousands of used books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and more. Most items range from $.50 to $3. From casual to collectible, it's the best treasure hunt in Lansing! Run by the Friends of the Lansing Libraries, the proceeds go to aid the Downtown, South Cedar and Foster Libraries' many fine programs as well as help in maintaining their facilities. The Michigan Walk of Fame honors the ingenuity and resourcefulness of Michigan residents (past or present), whose contributions have made a significant impact on the state, nation, or world. Made up of 18" x 30" bronze plaques embedded in the sidewalk, each plaque displays information on the inductee's life and contribution. Mitten Kitten 2026 Slash Up XIII

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
