The Saline Railroad Depot, with its freight house, telegraph, and passenger facilities, served as a crucial link in the economic transformation that took place between Saline's rural hinterlands and the outside world.

Although all the original surrounding buildings have been removed, the Depot still stands on its original site. During its heyday, the complex consisted of a depot building, storage barn, wool barn, livestock pens, loading facilities, and water storage tank.

The freight room of this historic building contains fine exhibits about railroad and history of Saline and the building, itself, has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1995.  
  
**Tours:** The Saline History & Depot Museum is open year round on Saturdays for browsing and for guided tours. Visitors will see a station agent's room, freight room, furnished caboose, and livery barn. A restored Eclipse Windmill is on the property.

Regular hours are Saturdays 11:00-3:00pm and by appointment. Groups larger than ten require a reservation. Call 734-944-0442.

Building on her love of teaching and passion for visual arts, Kaili founded Whitepine Studios. Self-Expression is at the heart of Whitepine Studios.

Art education should begin at a young age. Through a process of exploration, we inspire children to create art by experimenting with a variety of materials and celebrating unique outcomes rather than following a strict adherence to a finished work of art. These experiences are open-ended, engaging and provide opportunities for innovation, new ways of thinking and problem-solving.

Whitepine Studios also offers creative experiences for teens and adults of all ages to find their artist within. We use only the highest quality materials and have developed an extensive variety of classes for all ages to enjoy. Creativity, playfulness, curiosity and imagination is not just for kids; it can bring joy and meaning to one’s life.

The mission of Whitepine Studios is to teach the fundamentals of art and design in a fun and supportive environment. Our focus is on process rather than production and we encourage the exploration of art materials, creativity, flexibility and originality.

Stony Lake Brewing Company produces many styles of big beers with an emphasis on American Ales and fresh clean flavors. Casual pub setting featuring craft beers, hard ciders, wines and select sodas to enjoy. Carry-in and order-in food allowed and encouraged. Must be 21, children welcome with parents until 9:00 p.m.
