Nestled along the Grand River, Woldumar offers visitors five miles of natural trails running through forest and prairies, with easy access from both I-96 and I-496. Educating people about the natural environment, Woldumar provides various nature-related programs for schools, Camp Discovery each summer for children and teens and great events for the whole family throughout the year. Also, the renovated RE Olds Anderson Rotary Barn is available for event rentals, while the WolduMarket Gift Shop is loaded with nature-related items and interpretive displays including live animals and geology. The best part of Woldumar awaits the hiker or cross-country skier who can enjoy the feel of the Great North Country right here in Lansing. New accessible trail with a half mile loop through beautiful forest with a Grand River overlook. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

Woldumar Nature Center

Established in 1953, the Lansing Model Railroad Club is a hidden gem in the area with a multi-level HO scale layout complete with railroad yards, cities, industrial scenes, rolling countrysides, mountains, bridges, and much more. Visitors can get a bird’s eye view of the model train action from an overhead walkway. The club resides in the 1890s era Millet railroad depot that was moved on the property in the 1960s. Also, on the grounds is the former Michigan Avenue (MA) railroad tower and various full-size railroad signals. Open every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the club also is open to special tours based on volunteer member availability. The club hosts the annual Lansing Train Show and Sale at the Michigan State University Pavilion in November, which is the largest show in the state with over 500 tables of model trains for sale. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

Lansing Model Railroad Club

Anderson Park Trail is a 3.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Lansing, Michigan that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Anderson Park Mountain Bike Trail

Newly opened Mt. Hope Park in Delta Twp. offers a variety of amenities and space for activity. This partially developed 60 acre park currently houses two softball/baseball fields. The 300 foot fences and deep cut infield skins allow for multiple age groups to be accommodated. The facility can also accommodate soccer, lacrosse and other field sports. With a flexible field space that can accommodate multiple lacrosse and soccer fields. Mt. Hope Park has a playground, restrooms, concession stand and pavilion space.

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
