The Mason Area Historical Society has regular meetings except for the winter months. The society operates two museums. The Mason Area Historical Museum is located at 200 Oak St. and is open on Saturday from 1-3 PM or by appointment.. The society also operates the Pink School, located at 700 Ash St. The one-room schoolhouse museum is open on the first Saturday of the month, May through October from 1-3 PM or by appointment. Meet friends during community events held throughout the year -- from summertime concerts and holiday parades to fairgrounds shows. Spring Fling events are the weekend of the first Saturday in May. Down Home Days is the weekend of the third Saturday in September. A great option to explore while you’re in town for a sports tournament or event.

Able Eyes

The County Clerk's office provides certified copies of birth, death, and marriage records per Ingham County events. In addition, they file DBA and Partnership Forms, process passport applications, and they act as a notary. Welcomes inquiries from sports groups.

Ingham County

Standing in the center of downtown Mason, this 100-year-old-plus courthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. A complete renovation of the building was finished in 1993. Ingham County is the only county in the United States in which the capital is not located in its county seat. The capital is located in Lansing, while its county seat is located in Mason A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

Two great skateparks in one location. Skateboarders and inliner skaters will love the 12,000 sq. ft. skatepark that was created by the innovators in skatepark design, Team Pain. Roller hockey enthusiasts will enjoy the tournament-size-hockey rink. The park is open to all ages and skill levels and offers free admission. Mason Skatepark at Bond Park

62-acre park divided into 3 areas. One area with shaded picnic grove, basketball, "Creative Play Structure," horse shoes and restrooms. Second has an open field to a ball diamond and soccer. The third is entirely wooded and used as a natural area. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

Rayner Park

The Mr. & Mrs. Bowling Tournaments are a series of four weekend bowling competitions in Michigan’s Capital City. Hosted at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl, these tournaments welcome both seasoned competitors and casual players for a fun, inclusive event.&#x20;

Mitten Kitten 2026 Slash Up XIII

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
