Beal Botanical Gardens, founded in 1873, is the oldest continuously operated garden of this type in the United States. Lansing Sports Commission

Beaumont Tower marks the site of Old College Hall-the first building in America erected for instruction in scientific agriculture. A gift from John W. Beaumont (class of 1882), the tower was dedicated in 1929 and renovated in 1996, making possible weekly carillon concerts throughout the year. Beneath the clock is a crisp Art Deco relief, "The Sower," by sculptor Lee Lawrie.

The carillon is played every Wednesday at noon for 30 minutes during the school year, with additional noon recitals subject to volunteer carillonist availability. Generally on the first Wednesday of October, November, December, February, March, and April, the tower is open to the public during the noon recital and guests can climb the 73 stairs to the playing cabin, which is behind the clocks, to observe the 6th University carillonneur, Jonathan Lehrer, play the 49-bell carillon. Several current and former carillon students assist in playing and schedule special tours.

Each July, the Muelder Carillon Series brings guest carillonneurs from around the world for a recital on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. You are invited to bring a picnic and sit outside and enjoy the beautiful music of the carillon.

There are few things to match the excitement of a Big Ten athletic contest at MSU. When it comes to seeing a football game, every seat in the 75,005-person capacity Spartan Stadium provides a great view. When the Spartans aren't contending for a Big Ten title in football, you can catch them battling for supremacy in hockey, basketball, and other sports. Mitten Kitten 2026 Slash Up XIII

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
