The Lansing Sports Commission (LSC) is your resource for sports tournament and event planning in Michigan's Capital Region. As a full-service sports commission, we will work with you on every aspect of your event, as dedicated to its success as you are. Located in the heart of Michigan, Greater Lansing is convenient to reach and easy to navigate. Our region is full of well-equipped lodging, first-rate athletic venues, entertainment options for the team and so much more. Lansing Sports Commission

Step back into the Victorian era with a visit to Michigan's award-winning Capitol Building. Designed by Elijah E. Myers, one of the foremost architects of public buildings during the Gilded Age (1865-1914), construction of the Capitol Building took six years and contains over nine acres of hand-painted surfaces. The building was dedicated to the citizens of Michigan in 1879. Every year the Michigan State Capitol welcomes over 115,000 people including tourists, schoolchildren, and families that tour the building with a guide or independently. Visitors have the opportunity to watch the legislature meet for session, they can admire the nine acres of hand-painted decorative art, and they learn stories from Michigan’s past. Most recently the $40-million, 40000-square-foot underground Heritage Hall visitors center and event space has opened featuring expanded tour orientation rooms, history exhibits, an artifact conservation space, a large meeting space and ample restroom facilities. Visitors can access the new Heritage Hall entrance on the north side of the Capitol Building on Ottawa Avenue. All tours will start in Heritage Hall. Tours of the public areas and the House and Senate galleries are available every half hour during the school year and on the hour during the summer months Mon.-Fri.(9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Please call to verify tour times 517/373-2353. Starting January 4, 2025, the State Capitol will be open from 10:00 am- 3:00 pm for guided tours on the first Saturday of each month. Public tours and visitor information will be available in the east wing of the Capitol’s ground floor.

Located in the heart of downtown Lansing, The Hob Nob offers a carefully curated selection of specialty coffee drinks, including expertly brewed espresso, rich lattes, and seasonal concoctions, all made with high-quality beans. In addition to coffee, the shop features a variety of locally-baked pastries and light snacks, adding to the welcoming experience.

Lansing Community College's Japanese garden provides a peaceful space to stroll, sit and learn more about Japanese culture. The plantings, including pines, Japanese maples and cherry trees, have been carefully selected to provide beauty through all four seasons. The garden contains several traditional elements: a dry gravel garden and a water garden with traditional walking paths. With the sound of the waterfall in the background, you could easily forget that you are in a metropolitan downtown. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

You can find the SHOVE IT PIZZA TRUCK rolling all throughout the greater Lansing area, Downtown Lansing (near the Capitol), Okemos, East Lansing, Williamston, Mason, Uncle John's Cider Mill, Holt Farmer's Market, and at several festivals in the area. Shove It Pizza

The Lansing Children’s Choir is a choral music program for children and youth in Lansing and surrounding communities. Any qualified child between the ages of 8 and 18, with a desire to sing is welcome to participate. We are currently an “open” group, there are no auditions necessary. Placement is based upon musical and vocal readiness, emotional maturity, consistency of focus, attitude and leadership as well as age and vocal quality. The Lansing Trebles is for ages 8 – 13 (unchanged voice), geared toward first experiences with choral singing. The Lansing Youth Chorale is for ages 13-18, where previous experience is helpful but not necessary. Mission Our mission is to provide a creative outlet, through singing, for the children and youth in Lansing and surrounding communities by the rehearsal and performance of quality children’s literature. Choir Goals · To reach the highest level of artistic excellence in choral music performance as we can. · To explore, rehearse and perform repertoire of all styles and periods. · To provide a program of music that is an extension of the classroom. · To enrich the lives of children from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds in the Lansing geographic area. Founded by the Sports and Recreation Committee of the Lansing Bicentennial Commission and inaugurated July 4, 1976, the Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame was established to honor our nation's first 200 years through the celebration of Mid-Michigan's athletic legacy. The Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame stands as a symbol of achievement, commemorating the collective dedication and spirit of our athletic community. See memorabilia from Lansing's greatest individual athletes and teams. The hall of fame is located inside the Lansing Center.

Among the largest in the country, Lansing's River Trail traces the banks of the Grand and Red Cedar rivers connecting comfortable parks, historic sites and urban activity centers for over 13 miles through Lansing and East Lansing. Things to see along the way include Brenke Fish Ladder, where spawning salmon and steelhead fight their way upstream during September; the Turner-Dodge House to the northwest; Potter Park Zoo to the southeast; and Louis F. Adado Riverfront Park- the home of Lansing's major festivals. Public parking is available at regular intervals along the trail. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

In their 94th season, the Lansing Symphony Orchestra continues to be the premier source for professional orchestral music in mid-Michigan. The LSO presents a MasterWorks, Pops and Chamber Series along with Jazz Band concerts, educational programming and special events. Performances are held at Wharton Center, Molly Grove Chapel at First Presbyterian Church, and the Robin Theatre. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

Mitten Kitten 2026 Slash Up XIII

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
