University Venues at RIT

The Campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is home to multiple top-end collegiate sports facilities and premier venues. With a large field house, competition pool, multiple arenas, and luxury event spaces the University Arenas venues can accommodate a wide array of sporting events and high-end events. University Arenas is comprised of the Godon Field House, the Gene Polisseni Center, the Lobozzo Alumni House, Tait Preserve and the University Gallery. The Gordon Field House is a 160,000 square foot center that includes a 60,000 square floor field/event venue, an aquatic center for competition and recreation, a fully equipped fitness center, and meeting space. The Gene Polisseni Center is a 112,400 square foot multi-purpose facility seats a capacity crowd of 4,300 fans which includes an ice rink, the RIT Athletic Hall of Fame, luxury suites, club longue, and concessions. Also, the Gene Polisseni Center is home to the university’s Division I Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams. The Joseph M. Lobozzo Alumni House is an impressive space with eye-catching design, high-end technology, and top-of-the-line comfort and amenities. Available for RIT campus use and the outside community, the House is an ideal space to host intimate gatherings or spacious events of up to 120 people. The University Gallery features curated exhibitions that showcase the work of professional alumni, faculty, esteemed national and international artists and designers. The University Gallery can accommodate events up to 150 people in seated for a meal or 200 people for lecture style seating. While Tait Preserve is only open to RIT community members and their guests. The preserve sits on 170-acres with a 60-acre lake and is RIT’s premier destination for special events, academic research and agricultural production. Featuring the stunning Leenhouts Lodge and a beautiful landscape of hills, forests and water, the Tait Preserve provides unique opportunities for the RIT Community to engage with the natural world.
