Cravings opened with humble beginnings in September 2008, when Shawn Scroggin and Cassandra Lindemann opened up a small but unique sandwich shop on the edge of downtown New Braunfels. Two years later, Cravings moved closer to downtown New Braunfels, in a newer and bigger location with indoor/outdoor dining and a drive thru. Everything in the restaurant is still made from scratch: we are proud to serve our customers a variety of sandwiches, salads, wraps, daily soups, and desserts.

Welcome to the home of NFL players, State Champions, Pro Baseball Players, Olympic coaches, and sports enthusiasts. New Braunfels is happy to carry on great sports traditions; swim meets that date back to the 1960’s, volleyball tournaments going strong for over 30 years, golf events that range from small to over 1000 have been hosted here for 38 years, Softball and Baseball tournaments, and many more. Some unique events such as golden glove boxing, pool, nine pin bowling, and Skat (German card game) tournaments.

Krause's Cafe is giving new breath to New Braunfels nostalgia! New Braunfels natives remember the original restaurant for its home cooking, iconic Stammtisch, and long standing location on Castell Avenue. You can now enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Biergarten or Café dining room! There are 70 drinks on tap and the menu has something for everyone featuring German and American fare made with fresh, local ingredients. The building has a new look, but the history of the restaurant is preserved by the many mementos on display, and the recognition of the founding families on banners in the Biergarten.

 Naegelin's Bakery in New Braunfels is almost 150 years old, being the oldest continuously operating bakery in the state of Texas. The fresh cookies, pastries, pies and cakes from the family-run bakery are of historic proportions and a timeless quality.

"It's all in the preparation." The Granzin family still uses recipes developed by the Naegelin family during more than a century of experimentation to get just the right ingredients.
As you walk into the front door of the bakery the sweet smell of baked foods engulfs you like a warm blanket. The glass cases are full of what seems like an almost endless array and rainbow of cookies and pastries.
The bakery is still famous for their strudels that Naegelin perfected years ago. The Granzin's have added terrific sausage kolaches to the menu of fruit filled ones. A popular favorite is the Lebkuche, a thick, rectangular brown cookie covered with pink frosting. We also make custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and special occasions.
