Tomorrow is the start of a weekend FULL of soccer as Midwest United Soccer puts on their annual United Spring Classic from April 19th-21st! This boys and girls tournament offers 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 formats. These games will be occurring at three great facilities, including Midwest United FC Soccer Complex, Brewer Park, & Thornapple Park. With 26 different divisions, there is so much action to be played in order to crown the champions on Sunday.

Over 30 years ago Grand Rapids took risks to establish and grow it’s brand. Today Grand Rapids is recognized by many sources as a great place to live, work, and visit. It can be said that Grand Rapids is a right-size city and has gained this title by taking different strategic steps.

We are thrilled to have the 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic by Simply Give back in Grand Rapids this summer! As one of the official stops of the LPGA Tour, this event features 144 of the top female golfers in the world. Occurring from June 13th through the 16th, this will be the 10th anniversary of the Meijer LPGA Classic where proceeds help stock the shelves of food pantries across the Midwest. Blythefield Country Club will be filled with excitement throughout the week with events ranging from the Junior Clinic to the 5k Run and Walk. With a $3 Million purse on the line and 72-holes of stroke play to occur, the 2024 Meijer LPGA Classic is a must-see event.

Nuway Combat is excited to host this year’s Nuway Nationals this weekend, April 5-7th, at the DeVos Convention Center!

The Meijer Sports Complex is the ultimate spot for softball and baseball tournaments in 2024! Located in Rockford, the Meijer Sports Complex is a championship-caliber baseball and softball complex that features eight fields. One of these is the Richard and Helen DeVos Foundation Championship Field, a 385-foot fenced field with covered grandstands to seat 1,000 spectators. The Meijer Sports Complex serves as the home field for the Aquinas College baseball team and hosts many tournaments throughout the year. With parking for 400+ vehicles, a picnic pavilion, warm-up areas, and concessions, the Meijer Sports Complex is the place to be!

Looking for something fun to do while in town this spring? Visit the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, where the Fred & Dorothy Fichter Butterflies are Blooming Exhibit is in full swing. This is the largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibition in the United States and is only open until April 30th. Visitors can see over 60 species of butterflies and experience their grace and beauty. This is a unique experience that you don’t want to miss!

Griff’s Sled Hockey Classic is happening this weekend! This event is an adaptive version of ice hockey, where wheelchair-bound athletes use a specialized sled in order to move on the ice.

Star Spirit Nationals is coming to Grand Rapids this weekend! Occurring at the Devos Place Convention Center, this is an event that guarantees excitement and entertainment.
