U.S. Figure Skating announced its U.S. qualifying season schedule and calendar of domestically held international events for the 2024-25 season, including 2024 Skate America and the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Discover Kalamazoo received its full ask of $57,500 to fund a community accessibility audit of Kalamazoo County. The destination marketing organization submitted an application for the Accessible Traveler Grant in the fall of 2023 with the partnership of Wheel the World and Disability Network Southwest Michigan.

KALAMAZOO, MI — Bell’s Brewery received a special visitor Thursday as Gov. Gretchen Whitmer worked alongside staff members to brew up her own craft brew for an upcoming tourism conference.

Kalamazoo, MI –  Zoo City FC is excited to announce it will be joining the Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) for the 2024-2025 season. The MLIS announced the addition of a women’s league March 12, and Zoo City FC is the first team committed for the 2024-25 season.

Discover Kalamazoo Sports reports hosting 70+ sports events in 2023, which resulted in $28.5 million in estimated direct visitor spending.   More than 30,000 youth, amateur, college and professional athletes competed in various sports events and tournaments held in the Kalamazoo area, contributing to the region’s local economy by discovering Kalamazoo through a combination of activities such as lodging, transportation, food & beverage, retail, recreation, space rental, and other business services.

In downtown Kalamazoo, a 280,000 square foot venue will break ground by the end of 2024 and will boast an ice sheet for skating, two basketball courts, a community space, two parking decks. Read more here!

KALAMAZOO, MI – The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, and the ECHL announced Friday that the organization has been selected the host of the 2025 Warrior/ECHL Hockey Heritage Week presented by Discover Kalamazoo and FireKeepers. The event is set to take place Jan. 17-18, 2025.

USA Hockey announced today host sites for the 2025 Chipotle-USA Hockey Youth, Girls and High School National Championships. Kalamazoo, MI will host the Youth Tier II 14U Division from April 2-6 at the Wings West and the Wings Event Center.

The Michigan High School Athletic Association looks forward to its return Feb. 23-24 to Wings Event Center for the Team Wrestling Finals, continuing one of the longest championship traditions in Michigan high school sports history. Learn more here!
