Interested in our history? We've got it! DeSoto County was formed in 1836. The county and one of our cities was named after Hernando DeSoto who was the first European explorer to see the Mississippi River. Discover our historic courthouse. Check out our museum that shows the beginnings in 1836 through our current time that includes Jerry Lee Lewis and John Grisham who have roots here.

Interested in the blues? You'll really enjoy driving through our county to see our five MS Blues Trail markers and headstones of some of the best that the music world has known.

Interested in so many things? Yep, we've got it. Farmers Markets, fishing and camping, go see the Mighty Mississippi and watch the river traffic, indoor concerts, outdoor concerts, sports; if you're thinking about it we probably have it.
