Gaston County Tourism Development is the official Destination Organization for Gaston County, NC. The county seat is Gastonia. Gaston County is bordered by the Catawba River in the east and Crowders Mountain in the west.

We are located 15 miles west of uptown Charlotte. I-85 runs straight through Gaston County linking to cities in the Northeast and Southeast. I-77, just minutes from our eastern border, gives easy access to locations in the Midwest. I-40, less than one hour north, provides an important east/west link with coast-to-coast access. The Charlotte Douglas International Airport is only 20 minutes away.
