Cary Recreation and Parks

Cary is a thriving community in the heart of the Triangle area of North Carolina, between Raleigh and renowned Research Triangle Park. The Triangle area is repeatedly ranked among the top regions in the country to live or work, to find a home or start a business, to raise a family or retire.

It is the mission of the Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department to serve, educate, and enhance life for the citizens of Cary. The professional staff plans and provides a variety of recreation, sports, environmental, historical and cultural arts programs and services.

At just over two hours to the beach and within three hours of the mountains, Cary is centrally located to much of North Carolina's charm.

The town is adjacent to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Amtrak provides daily passenger train service from the Cary Depot in downtown Cary, with regular service to Charlotte, Greensboro, and all up and down the East Coast. Cary is adjacent to Raleigh, the state capital, and downtown Durham and Chapel Hill are each about 20 miles away.

While in-person classes, events, and programs are canceled until further notice and facilities remain closed to the public, we are providing opportunities for you to safely participate in your favorite Town of Cary programs.
