The Davidson Wildcats dedicated their newly-renovated baseball field, formerly Wildcat Park and now Wilson Field on March 19, 2005, exactly 38 years after the first game was played at that location. The facilities include a baseball clubhouse and batting cages. Lights were installed in 2003 with the first night game played in March of 2003. Wilson Field was so named in honor of T. Henry Wilson, Jr., Class of 1951, a former baseball and football player at the college. The facelift to the ball park included a new infield surface, bleachers, press box, concession stand and bathroom, as well as landscaping and fencing around the facility. The project would not have been possible without the generous support of the Wilson family.

Newly renovated beginning in 1998, Richardson Stadium is the home to Stephen B. Smith Field and Irwin Belk Track. Seating up to 6,000 fans, Richardson resonates with memories of homecoming and alumni cake races. Richardson Stadium also holds the Hubbard Family Football Locker Rooms and the Doe Weight Room.

Huntersville Athletic Park is located on the south end of Huntersville on Verhoeff Drive, near CPCC. This community park offers four full sized ball fields, a regulation soccer field, a multi-purpose field, restroom facilities, a concession stand, a covered picnic shelter with grills, two sets of playground equipment, a 1/3 mile paved walking track and a wilderness bike trail. These aesthetic surroundings offer recreational activities for the entire family to enjoy.

This park offers soccer and ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking trail and picnic shelter. The unique playground includes silo and tractor.

Bailey Road Park

Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics (HFFA) combines a full schedule of modern health and fitness programs. Designed to encourage a sense of community, the center and its programs have become a gathering place for friends, families, swim competitions, special events and activities. Everyone is committed to a healthy lifestyle, and the physical and emotional energy that comes with a complete health program.

Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatic Center (HFFA)

Nicknamed "WAC", this newest Cornelius park was opened on July 7, 2012. The 19-acre complex will host tournament play for residents as well as participants from outside the area to increase tourism in Cornelius. Facilities include: Four lighted fields for youth baseball/softball Concession building Playground Public restrooms

Westmoreland Athletic Complex

Barry Park is the first Huntersville park west of I-77. Barry Park includes 6 soccer/multi-purpose fields, playground, walking trail, and shelter. This park provides an excellent opportunity to meet the growing recreational needs of the town.

Richard Barry Memorial Park

Bradford Park is Huntersville’s largest and newest park which sits on 213 acres. This park was jointly developed by the Town of Huntersville and Mecklenburg County. This park will help the town meet the growing recreation needs of the area. Bradford Park is located on Hwy 73 just east of Ramah Church Road. This park is an ideal location for large sporting and community events. An 18 hole disc golf course layout features short tees around 5,600 feet, with the long layout at around 6,800 feet. This course was one of the fourteen courses used for the 2012 Professional and Amateur World Championships.

The Baker Sports Complex is the nucleus of Davidson’s athletic program. It is home to events, meetings, training, dining, administrative offices for staff and a state-of-the-art athletic medical facility.

This 104 acre lakefront park offers opportunities for the entire family. It includes picnic sites, lighted tennis courts, walking trails, gazebo, sunning beach (no swimming), playgrounds, restrooms, concession area and Waterfront Hall which may be reserved for special events.

Jetton Park

There are 12 basketball goals in addition to the court space, the center has a cafe and lounge area featuring some court-side high-top tables as well as a multi-purpose room that can accommodate up to 50 people for meetings or other activities.

Huntersville Recreation Center

The Covington Tennis Court facility is the home of the Wildcat Men's and Women’s Tennis teams, in addition to the indoor courts at the Knobloch Indoor Tennis Center. The courts are named for Howard Wall Convington, Class of 1937.

Davidson College Tennis Courts

A Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation property, this access point has six boat launch sites. This 26-acre park features floating piers and boat launching, so you are only minutes away from sailing the water. Grab a snack at the Dockside Café while other amenities include a playground, picnic areas, and sand volleyball courts.

Blythe Landing

Located on the north end of Huntersville on Old Statesville Road this community park offers two adult sized ball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, restroom facilities, a covered picnic shelter with grills, and playground equipment. These aesthetic surroundings offer recreational activities for the entire family to enjoy.
