Welcome to the Heatstroke Disc Golf Tournament 2026, taking place June 13–14 at Spring Villa Disc Golf Course in Opelika, Alabama. Hosted by the Opelika Auburn Disc Golf Club, this summer event brings players together for competitive rounds on one of the area’s premier disc golf courses. Spring Villa is located just minutes from Historic Downtown Opelika, where participants can enjoy local restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques between rounds. The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) is the international governing body for disc golf and is the largest organization for disc golf in the world. The PDGA is a member governed 501(c)(4) non-profit association based in Appling, Georgia, USA. Founded in 1976, the PDGA is made up of more than 250,000+ members who live and play in 50+ PDGA-Affiliated countries worldwide. Each year, the PDGA sanctions nearly 9,000 competitive events for professional and amateur players, and that number grows annually.

The PDGA also writes and maintains the rules for the sport, sets the standards for equipment used in play, manages a player rating and points system, and publishes the sport’s leading magazine, DiscGolfer.
