The Ridge Golf Club, originally known as West Ridge, opened in May of 1991. The Gene Bates Design Group was brought in to design a new 18-hole course that would truly cater to players of all abilities. Gene Bates is a renowned architect and his portfolio includes Old Mill, Riverbend, and Soldier Hollow in Midway. After looking at trends in the golf industry it was decided to build a golf course that would challenge and stimulate the low handicap golfer but not at the expense of seniors, women, juniors and new golfers to the game. According to early feedback from those who have toured the property, the new design takes on a feel that resembles golf in southern Utah or Mesquite, Nevada more so than anything locally. West Valley City intends to keep golf affordable so that golfers can expect competitive rates. In conjunction with its sister course, Stonebridge Golf Club, The Ridge will offer the $200 Player's Pass which allows golfers to play 18-holes with a cart for only $14. The Player's Pass is without rival when it comes to keeping golf affordable. Punch cards for frequent play or the driving range will be offered as well. The new golf course will open as a major player in the corporate and charity golf tournament market. With competitive rates and service, and attention to detail, tournament planners will undoubtedly snatch up prime dates for their events.

Built in 2001, this amazing venue has transformed from a high-performance competition venue to a community recreational resource for Utah residents from all over Salt Lake Valley. The Element Event Center is a unique, shared vision come to fruition. With the planning and execution of several organizations – including the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center, US Speedskating, Salt Lake County, and the State of Utah – the $12M multi-use Element Event Center is a model of cooperation and innovation between government, non-profit and community partners that individual stakeholders couldn’t have achieved independently.

One of the County's largest regional parks with 5 baseball diamonds, two regulation size soccer fields and the new Kearns Skate/BMX Park. Park also has a large grass area that slopes from the west to east and from the baseball fields to the soccer fields.

One of the larger regional parks with a wide range of amenities including: five baseball fields, basketball courts, volleyball, cricket, soccer and rugby fields.

Southridge Park

Official practice facility for the Utah Grizzlies professional hockey team and was a practice venue for the 2002 Olympic Games. 200'x100' (Olympic size) ice surface, Skate rental and sharpening, Pro Shop, Party Room, and Centenntial Swimming Pool with 2 Water Slides, Play Features, Water Geysers and Lap Pool.

8 Softball fields (2 wagon wheel complexes). The fields have announcement stands, concessions and restrooms located in the fitness center on premises. There are also basketball courts and soccer fields along with barbecues and covered pavilion with convenient restrooms.

Centennial Park

The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control operates 44 State Liquor and Wine Stores and over 100 package agencies or contract stores across the state. State liquor and wine stores carry a full line of liqueurs, wines, spirits, and some full strength beers.

Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center The Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center is the newest addition to the Salt Lake County Arts & Culture family of performing arts venues. Located in Taylorsville, the Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center bring premiere performance and rehearsal spaces to the middle and southwest section of the valley. This thoughtfully designed venue includes a 400-seat proscenium theater, a 200-seat studio theater and a fully functional rehearsal space as well as professional theater staff and services. Mid-Valley provides the opportunity for performing organizations to showcase their art in this fast-growing area of Salt Lake County. In addition to the performing spaces, Mid-Valley will offer professional theater services including full service ticketing through ArtTix, event management, technical direction and support, and dedicated front-of-house services. Planned public art, both indoor and outdoor, will distinguish the new venue and help create a sense of place. Salt Lake County and Taylorsville City partnered on Mid-Valley. Taylorsville provided a financial contribution and the land through a long-term ground lease and Salt Lake County is constructing the new venue and its Arts & Culture division will operate and maintain Mid-Valley.
