Markus Poschner Conducts Brahms' Requiem

Music Director Designate Markus Poschner, celebrated for his compelling Brahms interpretations, moves heaven and earth in this monumental work for choir and orchestra. Brass fans, rejoice! Nico Mulhy’s Doom Painting was written for the world-renowned trumpet soloist (and the evening’s special guest) Tine Thing Helseth. Premiering in 2024 under Markus Poschner, the work engages with the metaphysical history of trumpets in the Bible, from jubilation and celebration to the solemnity of the Last Judgment.
