Rochester By Water is a nonprofit organization that connects the community and visitors to Rochester's historic waterways through authentic, guided boat experiences and educational programs. Founded in 1991, RBW operates the iconic Sam Patch replica packet boat on the Erie Canal in Pittsford and the new modern yacht Riverie in downtown Rochester. Sam Patch features the signature canal experience of passing through a century old lock. Rochester By Water/Riverie Cruises

Enter the lush rain-forest environment and walk among hundreds of brilliantly colored, free-flying tropical and native butterflies that flutter about—and may even land on you! The butterfly population is funded in perpetuity through the generous support of Louise Woerner and Don Kollmorgen. The plants in Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden were made possible by Allyn’s Creek Garden Club.

Winter: An outdoor ice skating rink with a kidney-shaped surface. Patrons can enjoy an expanded warming shelter that features a heated floor and fireplace, new rental skates and a sound and lighting system. Summer: In the warmer months, the ice rink doubles as a reflecting pool equipped with three fountains. The colorful playground provides a water spray park to cool children off from the summer heat. Benches and picnic tables around the rink serve as picnic spots during the summer. The warming shelter is available for rental from April-October.
