Visit any of our three floors, or outside terrace to experience our unique menu of small and large plates, featuring both a creative redux of past classics and contemporary creations. With craft cocktails abound and 50+ beers on tap, TRATA’s trendy digs appeal to a couple enjoying date night, a family dinner, or a group celebration. Our first floor is comprised of our main bar area which features a 160” screen to watch your favorite sporting events. Adjacent to the bar is Rochester’s only pour your own Beer Wall, which includes 46 beers and 4 wines on tap. Guests can sample multiple offerings or choose to stick with their favorites, from domestics to local crafts, sours and beyond. TRATA offers a variety of private event spaces on any of our three floors and outdoor patio for up to 60 guests. A place where you can drink hand-crafted beers and eat made-from-scratch food. Strangebird has 24 rotating taps featuring our high-quality, award-winning beer, that spans all styles. We also offer a curated list of wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic selections. Our kitchen focuses on made-from scratch, locally-sourced, and seasonal food. Strangebird's experienced team includes Brewer, Micah Krichinsky, a graduate of the Master Brewer's program at U.C. Davis who previously brewed at Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton, Delaware; Director of Wood-Aged Beers, Eric Salazar, who worked at New Belgian Brewing Company for 24 years; Food and Beverage Director, Jeff Ching, who has 14 years' experience in the restaurant industry, opening The Owl House, Playhouse//Swillburger, and Pizza Wizard in Rochester; and Head Chef, Nate Stahl, who has 12 years experience working at restaurants throughout Rochester, including The Owl House, Amore, and Next Door by Wegmans. We operate on a first come, first served basis. You seat yourself wherever there’s an open seat! We have a private room that seats up to 12 available to reserve.

The open area is clear, allows for freedom of planning, and unburdened possibilities • Able to accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated meal, 200 guests with lecture-style seating, and 250 guests for a standing reception • Versatile space accommodating dinners, luncheons, award ceremonies, open houses, board meetings, receptions, conferences, or academic lectures • Audio Visual equipment is available on-site for various media and presentation needs.

University Gallery

The Campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is home to multiple top-end collegiate sports facilities and premier venues. With a large field house, competition pool, multiple arenas, and luxury event spaces the University Arenas venues can accommodate a wide array of sporting events and high-end events. University Arenas is comprised of the Godon Field House, the Gene Polisseni Center, the Lobozzo Alumni House, Tait Preserve and the University Gallery. The Gordon Field House is a 160,000 square foot center that includes a 60,000 square floor field/event venue, an aquatic center for competition and recreation, a fully equipped fitness center, and meeting space. The Gene Polisseni Center is a 112,400 square foot multi-purpose facility seats a capacity crowd of 4,300 fans which includes an ice rink, the RIT Athletic Hall of Fame, luxury suites, club longue, and concessions. Also, the Gene Polisseni Center is home to the university’s Division I Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams. The Joseph M. Lobozzo Alumni House is an impressive space with eye-catching design, high-end technology, and top-of-the-line comfort and amenities. Available for RIT campus use and the outside community, the House is an ideal space to host intimate gatherings or spacious events of up to 120 people. The University Gallery features curated exhibitions that showcase the work of professional alumni, faculty, esteemed national and international artists and designers. The University Gallery can accommodate events up to 150 people in seated for a meal or 200 people for lecture style seating. While Tait Preserve is only open to RIT community members and their guests. The preserve sits on 170-acres with a 60-acre lake and is RIT’s premier destination for special events, academic research and agricultural production. Featuring the stunning Leenhouts Lodge and a beautiful landscape of hills, forests and water, the Tait Preserve provides unique opportunities for the RIT Community to engage with the natural world.

The Rochester Children and Teens Book Festival (RCTBF) has been a treasured annual event for the Rochester community and beyond. With over 50 authors and illustrators from picture books through teen- attendees can meet and purchase signed copies, attend panel discussions and book related craft and story time, along with food trucks, face painting and more! Highlighted authors include A. S. King, Karina Yan Glaser, James Ransome, Kate Messner.
