An absolute must-see for the aspiring Wasatch adventurer, Lake Blanche Trail is the perfect mix of challenge and accessibility. The ascent is steep, as is the case with many trails in the Cottonwoods, but the reward at the end of the hike keeps a steady stream of people coming to give it a try. Nearly 4 miles up the trail lies a serene lake with a towering peak known as the Sundial. The jagged dual-spire reflecting in the water below creates a unique and breathtaking scene.

From the parking lot the trail begins a few hundred yards up a paved pedestrian road heading east. The start of the actual trail is on the right and is easy to miss; if you reach the waterfall at the end of the road you have gone just a bit too far. The Sandy Amphitheater is located in Sandy, Utah on the northwest corner of 9400 South and 1300 East overlooking the Salt Lake valley. The concert experience at the Amphitheater is truly unique and one you will not find else where in the area.

4.5 mi/7.2 km one-way — In Little Cottonwood Canyon, this trail leads first to an overlook with beautiful views down the canyon, then into a broad meadow and over a ridge to White Pine Lake. The trailhead is located on the south side of Little Cottonwood Road about 5.5 miles up the canyon, (about .7 miles below Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort). There is a parking area, but slow down when you get close, as it’s easy to miss.From the parking lot, walk along the wide service road (closed to vehicles) about 1.25 miles to the overlook. Another .75 miles gets you to the meadow—a good place for a break and a snack. You can turn around here for a round-trip of only 4 miles or continue on the trail for another 2.5 miles to get to the lake (a 9 mile round-trip excursion).

All of our Rums start out with the best fanciful molasses we can purchase. We then ferment our washes using only rum yeast strains to produce the best flavors. All of our whiskeys start out with the best locally grown and purchased grains we can buy. To date the only grain we are unable to get locally is Malted Barley. Our Corn, Wheat, Oats, Rye and Barley all come from Utah Farms. We ferment our whiskeys using only whiskey yeast strains to produce the best flavors. We distill our spirits on our bubble plate still to get the highest purity and flavor profiles. We use extremely high standards in making our cuts to produce a very smooth and pure product. All of our spirits are hand made from start to finish. Right down to the special formula that I come up with to dipping the top of the bottle (made right here in the distillery).
