The two owners, Vicki and Julie, met 40 years ago at Utah State University, married Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity brothers and found a way to stay in touch through the years while raising their families in different states and countries. Both maintain a passion for community, outdoor activity and interacting with friends and family. With their children grown, they started dreaming about a place where an active community could thrive. Pickleball is one of the fast growing sports in America and can be enjoyed across generations. A combination of tennis, ping-pong and badminton, the game has an easy learning curve and appeals to the highly competitive, as well as the highly social players!   
  
Second Summit has four lighted outdoor pickleball courts on our patio and we love the energy, laughter and camaraderie that it brings whether you are playing or just enjoying the great outdoor space.

The Christmas Box International works to prevent child abuse and defend children through a culture of universal diversity, inclusion, and love. We partner with local, national, and international groups to improve the quality of life for children, teens, and young adults who are victims of abuse, neglect, trafficking, or are facing homelessness. In 1996, founder and New York Times best-selling author Richard Paul Evans created a safe place for Utah’s children — a Christmas Box House — naming the charity after his first novel, The Christmas Box. What began as a single refuge has grown into a statewide network of emergency shelters, resource rooms, and youth programs dedicated to restoring hope and dignity. Today, The Christmas Box International serves 14,000 children and young adults every year. From offering immediate shelter and comfort to children escaping abuse, to providing essentials through our Resource Rooms, to empowering teens transitioning out of foster care, our work ensures that every young person we serve feels seen, valued, and loved. Through programs like Project Elf, we make the holidays brighter for children who might otherwise go without. The Christmas Box International

The Humane Society of Utah (HSU) is the largest and most effective animal shelter in Utah, saving the lives of more pets than any other (11,318 in 2015 alone)! HSU, founded in 1960, has always fostered an atmosphere of love and respect for animals. Our many programs include: low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination services, transfer/rescue of at-risk pets from overcrowded shelters, adoption of homeless pets into loving homes, humane education for children, and cruelty investigations of animal abuse and neglect.

Central Valley golf course is a 9-hole executive-style golf course with a par of 33. The golf course consists of four par 4′s, four par 3′s and one par 5. We also have 3 sets of tee markers for you to use at your enjoyment. It is designed for a fun round with the recreational golfer in mind. We are shorter than most courses, so the average golfer can make more birdies and pars than at other courses. The course has four par 3′s (ranging from 83 to 174 yards), four par 4′s (ranging from 231 to 364 yards), and one par 5. This course is designed for golfers who don’t have the time to invest in practicing. The average golfer usually slices, so we have designed the course so there’s no trouble on the right side of the holes (no out-of-bounds, no water hazards, no deep rough, etc.). Our golf course is connected to Golf in the Round Driving Range and Learning Center. We are located 2 blocks west of 1-15 on 3300 South, just a 10 minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City!! We have a practice putting and chipping green that is free of charge to use.
