**Alliance Theater and Events** is a virtual and in-person hybrid venue located in Trolley Square. We specialize in live events, private bookings, and broadcast performances. Our venue has a fully equipped stage with lights, sound, and full streaming capabilities. Alliance Theater

Located in [Historic Trolley Square](http://www.trolleysquare.com/) since 1972, we've been satisfying the local Salt Lake community with hand crafted food and beer for decades. In our roots, we began with a simple offering of food and poured Coors to college students. Over time however, we have evolved and expanded into a full service brewpub, with made from scratch food and finely crafted beers alike while still maintaining our local relaxed vibe.

Our brewery operation began in 1995 and within a year we went on to win Utah's first gold medal and the GABF for our Happy Valley Hefeweizen. We have continued winning medals ever since, most recently with 2 Gold Medals and the 2015 Mountain Brewers Festival for our Road Rage Rye and Dunkelweizen. Currently we have four beers that are always on tap (Hefeweizen, Pilsner, Pale Ale, and Stout) in addition to four rotating seasonal taps and one cask conditioned handle.

The menu has kept some of the 35 year favorites while adding and changing over time to more modern offerings. We have a specials menu that changes bi-weekly to explore current trends and maintain variety for our dedicated local following. Since our foundation in 2001, **Urban Lounge** has been providing Salt Lake City with a vast array of live performances from artists that you won’t find anywhere else in the state. Urban Lounge

Rodizio Grill is American’s First Brazilian Steakhouse established in 1995. Rodizio Grill has been known for its playful Brazilian spirit, authentic menu offerings and family-friendly atmosphere. The unique concept features rotisserie grilled meat, expertly seasoned and carved tableside by traditionally dressed Gauchos. Edison House is the brainchild of co-founder brothers George Cardon-Bystry and Charlie Cardon. George and Charlie are 8th generation Utahns who grew up in Salt Lake City but left for a decade to explore and experience some of the country’s most dynamic cities. **Meeting & Event Spaces at the Salt Lake City Public Library — Main Library**

Whether you're planning an intimate business meeting, a community workshop, a film screening, or a landmark celebration, the Salt Lake City Public Library's Main Library offers a remarkable range of event spaces in one of Utah's most iconic buildings. Designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie, the Main Library provides a stunning backdrop for gatherings of every size — and many spaces are available free of charge for community use.

Intimate & Small Group Spaces   
Conference Rooms on Levels 2 and 3 are ideal for smaller gatherings of 6 to 15 people. Both rooms feature open ceilings, ample natural light, and the building's signature award-winning design aesthetic — a refreshing alternative to a standard boardroom. Each includes wireless internet and a whiteboard.

Flexible Conference Rooms   
For groups of 15 to 60, Conference Rooms A, B, and C — located off the Lower Urban Room — offer versatile, private spaces well-suited for classes, lectures, and meetings. All three rooms are equipped with LCD projectors, wireless internet, and whiteboards. A standout feature: the collapsible walls between Rooms A, B, and C can be opened to create one larger combined space, accommodating a wide range of event configurations.

Conference Room E, on Level L1 adjacent to the Children's Library, is another excellent option for groups of 20 to 35, with easy access from the library's glass elevators.

A Room with a View Conference Room Level 4 is one of the most sought-after event spaces in downtown Salt Lake City. Two sweeping banks of windows frame the Wasatch Mountains to the east and the city skyline to the west, creating a breathtaking setting for lectures, press conferences, presentations, and musical events. Flexible seating arrangements — lecture, classroom, or conference style — accommodate 50 to 100 guests.

Landmark Event Spaces   
The Nancy Tessman Auditorium seats 300 in stadium seating and features a beautiful stage, LCD projector, DVD player, microphones, dressing rooms, and internet access — perfect for film screenings, performances, and large public programs. Available for after-hours rental.

The Urban Room, the library's grand five-story atrium with a soaring glass ceiling, accommodates 150 to 300 guests and makes for an unforgettable backdrop for receptions and large events. Like the Auditorium, it is available for after-hours rental.

For truly special occasions, the Rooftop Terrace offers 360-degree views of the Wasatch Mountains, Salt Lake Valley, and city skyline — an open-air venue unlike anything else in Salt Lake, with capacity for 100 to 250 guests.

Rumi passed away at sunset on Sunday, December 17th, 1273. He suggested not to mourn his death but to instead be joyful and loving. For centuries, December 17th has been celebrated as Rumi's Night of Union.  
  
On December 17th this year, on the anniversary of Rumi's passing, we will gather and share our favorite poems and inspiring thoughts. The evening will be moderated by Rasoul Shams, Director of Rumi Poetry Club, and translator of Rumi: The Art of Loving, The Words of Rumi, and Through Love Pain Is Healed.

Rasoul Shams first learned of Rumi's poems in his Persian classes as a young boy in Iran. The works of Rumi and other Persian poets have been his spiritual companions for decades. He has studied and lived in India, Japan, and the USA. He founded the Rumi Poetry Club in 2007. His books include Rumi: The Art of Loving, Rumi Essays: On the Life, Poetry, and Vision of the Greatest Persian Sufi Poet, The Words of Rumi, and Through Love Pain is Healed.
