The Discover Austin Minnesota Junior Championship presented by Hormel Foods is a premier AJGA Open Series and Junior-Am golf tournament for boys and girls ages 12–19. Held August 17–20, 2026, at the historic Austin Country Club in Austin, Minnesota, this 54-hole stroke-play event features a 96-player field and a 36-hole cut. Compete on a championship-caliber course with slopes rated 71.8/128 (Boys) and 72.8/129 (Girls), and vie for AJGA Performance Stars and exemptions toward future AJGA events. Open to qualified junior golfers nationwide.

Discover Austin Minnesota Junior Championship presented by Hormel Foods

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association dedicated to the overall growth of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships.  With over 10,000 members ages 12-19 from 50 states and 60 foreign countries, the AJGA will conduct over 250 championships this year from January to December.  Each year AJGA seniors secure more than $26 million dollars in athletic and academic scholarships from participating in the AJGA. Through initiatives like the Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation. AJGA is open to explore new opportunities domestically and internationally. At this time, there is a strong priority to bring new events to the Western Region.
