The site of the city’s first reservoir (1874). Belknap Park was renamed in 1932 to honor Civil War veteran Capt. Charles Belknap. The park was further developed as part of a WPA project in the 1930s, and in the early 1960s, approximately 2 million cubic yards of earth were removed from the park and used for freeway construction through downtown. In the 1970s, Grand Rapids Project X, an earthwork sculpture created by artist Robert Morris, was cut into the hillside.

Belknap Park now is home to one of the best pickleball complexes in the Midwest with 21 beautiful courts, all free and open to the public.

This is a FREE event but RSVPs are required and tickets are limited. Event includes FREE hayrides, farm tours, popcorn and drinks, access to pet and take pictures with the pygmy goats, honeybee demonstrations, family-friendly activities and more!   
  
Three different times to RSVP your family (11am - 1pm, 1pm - 3pm and 3pm - 5pm. Please click the Tickets link to sign up and so we can plan accordingly. Tickets are first come, first served.
