One Bourbon's interior reflects the hip sensibilities of the surrounding area, with loads of unfinished brick, tin ceilings and Edison lights. The multi-level restaurant offers the choice to observe passers-by in the Oak Room, a swanky whisky room on the 2nd floor, or in the pub area with direct access to the genius' behind the bar, in the main dining area with comfy seating and plenty of light, or outdoors on the large patio covered in art. The Gilmore family began their stewardship of the legendary Rose's on Reeds Lake in 1992. Rose's is the last remaining building from the Romona Park era – arguably the most colorful chapter in the history of East Grand Rapids. Vander Mill sources the best Michigan apples and presses them in-house for their cider, which is never pasteurized and has no preservatives. The 15+ cider selections here include Honeycrisp, made with what many say is the world’s most delicious apple.
