FUJI BJJ presents our 2027 Kansas City Jiu Jitsu Expo!

Last year, we bet big on the Midwest Jiu-Jitsu community and you proved us right. Thank you to everyone who showed up and made our first Kansas City Jiu Jitsu Expo an incredible success! Your support means everything to us. We’re coming back for 2027 with even bigger goals, deeper brackets, and a commitment to making this the premier annual gathering for Jiu-Jitsu in the heart of America. Let’s do it again!

TOURNAMENT DETAILS: 

This is a two day event.

Day 1 (Saturday):

-Male - Adult/Master Divisions - Gi & Nogi (16+)

Day 2 (Sunday):

-Female - Adult/Master Divisions - Gi & Nogi (16+)

-Kids Divisions - Gi & Nogi (4-15)

Early weigh-ins are available for Day 1 competitors on Friday from 6pm to 7pm.

Early weigh-ins are available for Day 2 competitors on Saturday from noon to 3pm.

Format: Depending on the bracket size we offer best of three, round robin, and modified double elimination brackets to ensure everyone gets more than one match.

Age Standards: Age 4 and Up

IMPORTANT DATES

Early Bird registration deadline: 05 Dec (11:59 pm)

Normal registration deadline: 02 Jan (11:59 pm)

Late registration deadline: 12 Jan (11:59 pm)

Check Day (last day to change weight without fee) is the Wednesday before the event.

Merging of uncontested divisions will happen the Wednesday before the event.

The schedule will be published the Thursday before the event.

Early weigh-ins are available for Day 1 competitors on Friday from 6pm to 7pm.

Doors Open/Weigh-ins begin: Day of event (8:00 am)

Matches Begin: Both Days (9:00 am)

You have up to one hour to weigh-in prior to the start of your division. Please update and check Smoothcomp as times may change based on bracket restructuring or how fast/slow the competition is going.

SPECTATOR FEE:

$20 - All passes are water resistant and good for both days!

Kids 12 & under are free.

Each academy will receive at least 1 free coaches pass. The amount of free passes depends on how many students from that academy are registered for the event. At least 1 free pass per 5 students will be available. Coaches do not need to message in before the event.
