Conference USSSA heads to Evansville, Indiana’s Deaconess Sports Park for the “Pocket City” Dual Major this week starting Thursday morning at 8 AM CENTRAL time. There are 22 men’s teams with 21 of them being from Conference USSSA, and there are 21 women’s teams with 19 of them from the Conference. These are the best teams in the country gathered in one hot spot for 2 tournaments! It is going to  be VERY warm. There is artificial turf infields on all 8 fields at the complex, and the fences are 300-305-310-315-310-305-300. There are big points up for grabs 180 + (21 x 4) \= 264 points to the men’s winners and 180 + (19 x 4) \= 256 to the women’s winners. This dual is sort of a 300 foot “World” if you will since it is really the only time all of the top 20 teams go to the same tournament on softball sized fields and it is at the end of the regular season. Dual #1 for the men starts at 8 AM Thursday morning and finishes Friday morning. Dual #2 starts Friday morning and finishes up Saturday night. The women’s Dual #1 starts Thursday evening and finishes up Friday evening while the women’s Dual #2 will feature a new format where the 5 women’s Major teams will play in their own double elimination bracket on Saturday, with a separate 9 team ‘A’ bracket, and the ‘B’ teams will have their own 7 team bracket. Here is some bulletin board material. Resmondo has never won a tournament at the Pocket City Dual. RoofX has won 3 times. Juno/MPT has won 3 times. Sonny’s won 1 time. Dan Smith has won one. ‘AA’ teams JBL and Ataraxis have won 1 each.

2026 Pocket City Dual Major

The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) is a volunteer, sports governing body and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Viera, Florida. Originally USSSA stood for United States Slowpitch Softball Association. 

However, in 1998, USSSA rebranded the name to United States Specialty Sports Association, because it expanded into other sports, including youth girls fastpitch, boys baseball, youth basketball, martial arts and more. USSSA governs 13 sports across the US, Puerto Rico, various US Military bases and Canada, and has a membership of over 3.7 million.
