Archibald’s Restaurant is located in a historic flour mill that was built in 1877 by one of the original pioneer settlers to the Salt Lake Valley, [Archibald Gardner](https://www.gardnervillage.com/archibald-salt-lake-temple), who was also instrumental in building the Salt Lake Temple. The mill was originally powered by turbin driven water and many of the original equipment remains today. For dessert, the carrot cake and white chocolate bread pudding are a must. Archibald's has built a reputation of serving fresh food, made in-house daily. Utah State Parks and Recreation and the Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (UHGPGA) are partnering to preserve this unique recreation area that is an excellent site for teaching and gathering experience for flyers of all levels. It is known worldwide as one of the best training sites for both paragliding and hang gliding. Flight Park State Recreation Area is being jointly managed by Utah State Parks and Recreation and the Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association. All of our Rums start out with the best fanciful molasses we can purchase. We then ferment our washes using only rum yeast strains to produce the best flavors. All of our whiskeys start out with the best locally grown and purchased grains we can buy. To date the only grain we are unable to get locally is Malted Barley. Our Corn, Wheat, Oats, Rye and Barley all come from Utah Farms. We ferment our whiskeys using only whiskey yeast strains to produce the best flavors. We distill our spirits on our bubble plate still to get the highest purity and flavor profiles. We use extremely high standards in making our cuts to produce a very smooth and pure product. All of our spirits are hand made from start to finish. Right down to the special formula that I come up with to dipping the top of the bottle (made right here in the distillery).
