Home to an array of retail and artist shops and studios, Building 13 of Banbury Place is an iconic part of Eau Claire. Building 13 also houses part of the annual Banbury Art Crawl where visitors and shoppers can get a taste for the local art scene and chat with the artists. Visitors are also welcome to take guided tours to learn the history of Banbury Place and meet artists within the industrial walls of the building.

Welcome to Banbury Place’s Mural Art Gallery! The Artist murals that were once on the outside windows of a downtown vacant building at 2 South Barstow Street have been preserved and now displayed for the public to enjoy at Banbury Place – 800 Wisconsin St., Building 6 – during business hours. Banbury Place underwent its renaissance – transformation 20 years ago from was once a Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Plant into now a mix of offices, art studios, daycare, restaurant, apartments, manufacturing, self-storage and warehousing. Banbury Place encompasses 1,900,000 square feet and is the home to over 135 businesses.

The Sounds Like Summer Concert Series is Volume One's Thursday-night gig in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin's Phoenix Park. Local bands play to crowds of more than 1,000 people each night on the banks of the Chippewa River in June, July, and August. This series helps make Eau Claire known as a "mini-Portland". Featuring a variety of genres of music, your foot will keep tapping and your head will keep nodding along to the sweet tunes of summer.

The Bit and Spur Saddle Club is in its 84th year of operation and continues to be Eau Claire's best kept secret. They produce eight horse shows that have halter, showmanship, English Hunt Seat and Saddle Seat classes along with Western Pleasure and Horsemanship. The Club concentrates on putting on Open Horse Shows and is affiliated with the Western Saddle Club Association. People are welcome to join the Bit and Spur Saddle Club at any time and is open to all age groups, and any horse breed is welcome. There are also educational seminars throughout the year. This Years Event is December 11th -13th The local improv scene has grown steadily, and Eau Claire is gaining national attention as an improv community . Last year 600 people attended festival workshops and performances over two days and nights. The Eau Claire Improv Festival offers opportunities to see live performances with both area improvisers and guest artists. Performance spaces for ECIF are The Plus and Memorial High School Little Theatre. Workshops will be held at various locations throughout downtown Eau Claire, including the public library and ECRAC studios, among others. The Eau Claire Improv Festival celebrates the rich history of improvisation in Eau Claire and seems to further develop local talent by offering access to successful working artists from around the country. Improvisation requires physical endurance, intelligence, empathy, critical thinking, and active listening. You will experience the thrill of witnessing a story created on-the-spot and the head-shaking, knee-slapping fun that is part of this up-and-coming art form when you attend or participate in the Eau Claire Improv Festival.

The mission of Eau Claire Jazz, Inc. is to educate, entertain, promote and perpetuate the worldwide cultural experience of jazz. We provide exciting and authentic jazz experiences, inspiring audiences to build a lifelong appreciation for jazz. Originating at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire more than 40 years ago, the Eau Claire Jazz Festival maintains a standard of excellence in jazz education and performance that has been recognized worldwide. This celebration of jazz music and culture has the distinction of being one of the oldest and largest events of its kind in the nation. by showcasing the work of local, national and international artists and by perpetuating the enduring elements and important directions of this distinctly American music. This collaboration between UW-Eau Claire and Eau Claire Jazz, Inc. has grown into a community-wide partnership of musicians, artists, educators, businesses, schools and other organizations committed to the genre. UW-Eau Claire’s department of music and theatre arts offers an outstanding undergraduate education for aspiring musicians and music educators, and also serves as a primary cultural resource for western Wisconsin. The department’s jazz studies area, under the direction of Robert Baca, is internationally recognized. Jazz Ensemble I has received the Down Beat Magazine "Best College Big Band" award six times, and two of its CD recordings have been nominated for Grammy Awards.

Tasks that volunteers may help with as needed include:  
  
Light cleaning: Vacuuming, taking out trash, spot cleaning spaces including bathrooms and eating areas.  
  
Safety: Monitor areas and checking in/out guests belongings.  
  
Stocking/Service: Refilling toilet paper, coffee, helping serve a meal.  
  
Companionship: Some guests may want conversation, someone to play a game with, or someone to color or draw next to.
