Step back in time to discover the 1880s Victorian farmhouse and country garden at this national historic site. Visitors can enjoy over 150 varieties of lilacs and some rare and unusual plants and trees in the 19th-century Victorian garden. The Gardens offer a quaint gift shop in the old carriage barn which has many handcrafted gifts, stationary, and lilac-themed items for sale. While the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens are open year round, the annual [Lilac Days festival](https://www.visitvancouverwa.com/event/lilac-days/18500/), held each spring, offers visitors a rare chance to experience peak lilac season while celebrating the beauty of the gardens in bloom.

Matranga Vineyards was initially established in Roseville, CA., over 95 years ago with some of the original vines coming directly from Sicily - the “Old Country”. Paradise Point State Park is an 88-acre camping park with 6,180 feet of freshwater shoreline and easy access to the Lewis River. The area possesses great natural beauty, a freshwater beach for swimming, and campsites in open grass or wooded areas as well as a small apple orchard. Paradise Point also offers cozy yurts backed by quiet woodland for overnight stays.

The Empress Estate

This 80-acre property features picnic tables, BBQ grills, trails, and vault toilets. Day use parking is available April 15 through October 15. The site is open only to walk-in visitors during the off-season.

Bratton Canyon

Built in partnership with the Chinook Indian Nation, Portland State University, The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and numerous other community partners and volunteers, the Cathlapotle Plankhouse serves as an education and interpretive center and is used by the Chinook Indian Nation for cultural events throughout the year. Visit the Cathlapotle Plankhouse and connect with local indigenous culture. This Living Plankhouse, based on the Chinookan village of Cathlapotle, as well as the objects inside of it, offer a tangible link to these aboriginal land stewards and provides a unique site for the interpretation of our region's natural and cultural heritage. Cathlapotle Plankhouse

The Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1965 to provide wintering habitat for the dusky subspecies of the Canada goose. Today, the Refuge preserves both habitat for wildlife, and evidence of the people who once lived here. The approximately 5,300 acres contain a lush mixture of wetlands, grasslands, riparian corridors, and forests. These habitats, combined with a mild and rainy winter climate, provide the ideal environment for many species including neotropical song birds, wintering waterfowl, and other local native species. The Carty Unit (28908 NW Main Ave) and River 'S' Unit (1071 S Hilhurst) are available for the public to visit. The Carty Unit hosts the main Refuge office, the Cathlapotle Plankhouse, the Oaks-to-Wetlands Trail, and the seasonal Carty Lake Trail. The River 'S' Unit offers the Auto Tour Route and the seasonal Kiwa Trail, as well as access to the hunt zones. Check the website for closure information before you visit!

USTA PNW NTRP Sectional Championships

Established in 1904, the USTA Pacific Northwest is one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association, the governing body of tennis. Based in Beaverton, Oregon, the USTA PNW is a 501c3 charitable nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis in the Pacific Northwest.  Operating in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and northern Idaho USTA PNW over 25,000 individual adult and junior members and over 200 organization members and providers, such as tennis facilities and community tennis associations, who also help us to promote the sport.
