With a historic river meandering through its 1,536 acres, Hudson Mills Metropark is located on North Territorial Road, twelve miles northwest of Ann Arbor. The gentle rapids area is one of the river’s most picturesque spots, which is also frequented by bass anglers and picnickers. The park’s trails give easy access to the marriage of serene woods and waters.

The park has an 18-hole golf course, disc golf courses, picnic areas, swings and slides, softball diamonds, hike-bike trail, nature trails, river fishing, basketball courts, and 3 miles of double-tracked groom natural trails for cross country and skiing. The activity center is open every day with a heated lounge, restrooms, and snacks. Please call or check the website for hours and conditions.

The Michigan Sailing Club provides a sailing facility to University of Michigan students, faculty, staff, alumni, the Michigan Sailing Team, and the community. The club is housed at a waterfront clubhouse on Baseline Lake in Dexter. Beginner lessons are provided, as well as skills clinics and races for experienced sailors.

Bring the kids, pick out the perfect pumpkin, and choose from a variety of designs before diving into some hands-on pumpkin carving right at the park. Whether your creation is silly, spooky, or super creative, it’s all about having fun together.  
  
After carving, warm up with a cup of cider and a tasty donut while you admire everyone’s pumpkin masterpieces. We’ll keep the celebration going until the pumpkins run out, so come ready to carve, laugh, and celebrate the season.  
  
Your registration includes one pumpkin per family, carving tools and designs, plus cider and donuts—everything you need for an easy, festive, and memorable fall outing!  
  
What to Expect:  
This program is entirely indoors or outdoors, weather dependent. You will be seated for the entire hour-long program. No prior experience is necessary. Time includes personal or small group instruction. Group discussion will be encouraged. A group interactive activity with instructions will be involved.
