Visitor information The Visitor Experience is a self-guided tour with many exhibits for you to see and read about the Bingham Canyon Mine, its history, and operations. We also offer a virtual tour of our operation to continue learning about the Bingham Canyon Mine: [https://www.youvisit.com/tour/riotinto](https://www.youvisit.com/tour/riotinto") Shuttles can accommodate up to 30 guests. Shuttle service to the mine overlook runs 7-days a week starting each day at 9:30 am and runs every 30 minutes with the last shuttle departing at 2:30pm (and returning by 4:00pm). The entire experience takes about an hour but can run longer depending on how long you visit the Bingham Canyon Mine overlook. You are welcome to take pictures of your visit, however professional photography is not allowed. Be prepared for the weather as the Visitor Experience is completely outdoors. The weather at the mine is sometimes different than that of the rest of the Salt Lake Valley. On sunny days, it will be hot. Bring water, sunscreen, and sun protection. If it looks like it may rain, please consider a jacket or umbrella. In the cooler months, be prepared for wind and cold temperatures. Wasatch Adaptive Sports (WAS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1977 with a mission to provide affordable recreational opportunities, including skiing, biking, and more, for children and adults with disabilities. At WAS, we believe in inclusivity and ensure that no one is turned away. WAS offers full and partial scholarships, requires no upfront fees, and strives to make participation in their programs possible for everyone, regardless of financial circumstances.

The Forklift features a casual, family dining atmosphere and serves a la carte breakfast and lunch entrées, year-round. Beer, wine and cocktails are served. During the winter, an apres-ski menu is offered.

Located on the first floor of the Snowbird Center, General Gritts is your one-stop shop for all Snowbird adventures. General Gritts opens early and stays open late in order to accommodate daily visitors and guests overnighting in resort lodging. The grocery section of General Gritts has cold drinks, frozen foods, grab-and-go snacks, and almost everything else in between. Toiletries and medicinal products are also for sale at General Gritts in case you are in need of essentials while vacationing at Snowbird. General Gritts has a full service deli which operates during the breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. Is it a vampire's hideout? A house full of ghostly visitors? Or could it just be old pipes? No one knows for certain. But one thing is certain: not everyone who enters finds their way out... Get your pencils ready because we're just dying to read the tales you conjure for the old mansion!Participants and families are invited to the showcase and awards.
