More than 400 hands-on exhibits make the Museum of Natural Curiosity one of the most interactive museums in the state. See the museum from above with a Canopy Tour! This high-ropes course is suspended over 40 feet in the air and is a great challenge.

Museum of Natural Curiosity

The Younique Foundation inspires hope and healing in adult survivors of child sexual abuse. One of the main ways we do this is through our Haven Retreat. We need your help supporting our retreats! Featuring a David Graham/Gary Panks designed 18-hole champion-ship course, and state of the art driving range and putting greens; South Mountain offers a truly memorable experience. The Corner Canyon Trail System is a fantastic recreational area near Salt Lake City that is mainly used for mountain biking but also allows foot traffic, dogs, and horseback riding. The trail system is butted up against the Wasatch mountains in the city of Draper in the southeast corner of the Salt Lake Valley. Tucked between developments is a free and wide open swath of doubletrack and singletrack to explore without having to leave the suburbs. With its low altitude, the riding season starts earlier and lasts longer than many Wasatch mountain biking trails. The average difficulty of the trails is moderate with a few more technical sections, meaning this is a place that everyone who loves to ride should try.

Corner Canyon Trail System

Utah State Parks and Recreation and the Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (UHGPGA) are partnering to preserve this unique recreation area that is an excellent site for teaching and gathering experience for flyers of all levels. It is known worldwide as one of the best training sites for both paragliding and hang gliding. Flight Park State Recreation Area is being jointly managed by Utah State Parks and Recreation and the Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association. Please visit the UHGPGA website for more information about flying safety and requirements. Just west of the parking lot, there is also a modelport for RC airplanes and helicopters.

The Ashton Gardens is a botanical oasis in the Utah desert. Featuring 50 acres of stately gardens, grand lawns, and the largest manmade waterfall in America, the Gardens offer opportunities to reflect and rejuvenate in the wonders of the natural world.

The gardens are organized like rooms, with trees, shrubs, and grasses serving as living barriers between the 17 themed spaces. Whether you're feeding the Koi fish in the Monet Pond, enjoying a picnic lunch in the Rose Garden, or stumbling into the Secret Garden, there's beauty to be found with every step.

This summer, a prehistoric adventure comes to life at the Ashton Gardens. Wander through the misty[Dinosaur Island](http://thanksgivingpoint.org/dinosaur-island/), where animatronic dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes lurk in the vegetation. Hear the roars of 27 different dinos, cross paths with gentle giants, and even navigate through a fight between a T-rex and a Triceratops. With programs, activities, and more planned throughout the summer, this thrilling expedition will captivate all ages. Can you escape from Dinosaur Island?

Boondocks Food & Fun! Exciting fun for everyone! Boondocks provides a variety of entertainment options that appeal to all ages and interests.

Boondocks Food & Fun - Draper

Easy out-and-back hike, with beautiful city and mountain views. This hike will take you to a suspension bridge spanning a pretty creek.

This trail is fairly well-trafficked, and is quite family friendly. The bridge, built in 2015, is 185 feet across Bear Canyon and connects two parts of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST). An optional trail, starting on either side of the bridge, will take a short loop around the canyon and place you on the other side of the bridge. There are many other trail options in this area, so feel free to explore.

**Insider tip**: Good in any season, but bring Yaktrax or some other method to keep your shoes on the ice and snow in cold weather.

**Details**  
Once you park in the Hidden Valley Park lot, the trailhead is on the east end of the lot. Follow the trail markers for the Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST) to the right (south). Keep on the BST until you reach the bridge. The optional Bear Canyon Loop can be accessed on the east side of the trail on either side of the bridge, and is well marked.

**Directions**  
Drive south on Interstate 15 to Exit 292 at 11400 South. Turn left on 11400 South, and drive for 1.9 miles until you reach 1700 East. Turn right and drive south to Wasatch Boulevard. Turn left and drive east on Wasatch Boulevard for 1.7 miles until you see the sign for Hidden Valley Park on your right.
