Stay connected through Facebook and Twitter for the taping of limited released beers, steal the glass nights, meet the brewers and more special beer events.

The “Original” and located in the heart of Downtown Richmond. This 108 year old, 25 foot wide by half-a-city-block-long building has 46 taps, 2 cask conditioned ale hand pumps and a selection of over 200 bottled beers. A separate lower level gaming area with a pool table, four dart boards and various other games is open every night and perfect for spending time after work or late night. Our European style Beer Garden is a perfect place to dine beside the European inspired fountain. Banquets and Gatherings of up to 60 people can be accommodated in our private dining room and up to 230 in our Music Hall.

Located along the Historic Canal Walk, Casa Del Barco is Richmond’s newest destination for redefined Mexican cuisine. Entrées such as Beef Barbacoa Enchiladas and Sizzling Fajitas are made with fresh, local ingredients to create an exciting dining experience. Our list of over 130 tequilas (Central Virginia's largest) is still growing and pleases the casual spirit sippers to the most seasoned aficionados. Materials from the historic 1890s Reynolds Metals Italianate building were repurposed into tabletops as well as a ceiling feature that allows guests to sign and hang tequila bottles as they're emptied!

Part of the James River Park System, the main access to Belle Isle is by pedestrian footbridge from Tredegar St. on the north shore. Alternate access is by wooden bridge near 22nd St. or by rock-hopping from the south shore. Large flat rocks surrounding the island make for good sunbathing, but the powerful Hollywood Rapids are not to be toyed with and are not suitable for swimming. Children should be supervised. Additional features include wooded trails, mountain biking trails, interpreted historical sites, wheelchair-accessible fishing at the quarry pond, and a granite wall for rock climbing.

The American Civil War Museum is pleased to announce the Annual Lincoln Prize Lecture will be held at the Tredegar site in Richmond, Virginia on October 15th, 2026.  
  
This event is in partnership with Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History. Our partnership with Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History is reflective of our continuing commitment to engage in national conversations about the Civil War by presenting the most respected authorities in the field of research and scholarship.  
  
The Gilder Lehrman annual Lincoln Prize award is given to the finest scholarly work in English on Abraham Lincoln, the American Civil War soldier, or the American Civil War era. This year’s recipient is Dr. Richard Carwardine, Distinguished Fellow of the Rothermere American Institute at Oxford, for his book "Righteous Strife: How Warring Religious Nationalists Forged Lincoln’s Union."  
  
A two-time recipient of the Gilder Lehrman Lincoln Prize, Dr. Carwardine is a Welsh-born historian of the United States. He spent over thirty years in the Department of History at Sheffield University before taking up the Rhodes Professorship of American History at Oxford in 2002. He was elected President of Corpus Christi College, Oxford in 2009 and navigated the College towards the 500th anniversary of its founding. He received his first Lincoln Prize in 2004 for his book "Lincoln: A Life of Purpose and Power."  
  
The ACWM Lincoln Prize Lecture includes a reception with Dr. Carwardine followed by the lecture and book signing in the Museum.
