S&S Presents has hosted concerts in the Salt Lake valley since 2007. Beginning with backyard shows at our first venue, Kilby Court, S&S has grown immensely over the last twenty years and currently produces over 1000+ concerts a year throughout multiple venues in Salt Lake City. Our company focus is to create meaningful experiences for artists and fans. We aim to provide SLC with access to life-changing live music opportunities, as well as giving artists hospitable and professional experiences. In addition to showcasing local talent, S&S Presents hosts groundbreaking independent touring artists in primarily 200 to 7,000 capacity venues, as well as select large-scale music festivals and concert series. We take pride in enriching our community by bringing more artists to Utah than any other local production company in the state.

Utah's Hogle Zoo

HSL Restaurant, sister restaurant to Park City’s HANDLE and brought to Salt Lake by Executive Chef Briar Handly, Melissa Gray, and Meagan Nash, is a beauty of a spot that pushes all the right buttons. I had the chance to visit HSL for dinner last Saturday during their soft opening and was invited to a media event last night and the food, cocktails, and atmosphere haven’t strayed far from my mind since we first stepped through the door.

The bar program is being established by seasoned SLC cocktail expert, Scott Gardner. After following his moves around restaurants and bars in the city *[always a little too late]*, I finally got the chance to try his cocktails and they did not disappoint. No one is doing cocktails like Scott’s. The Bourbon + Black Tea + Clarified Milk, Mezcal + Epazote + Palm Sugar, Brandy + Pistachio + Mint cocktails were unbelievable. I could talk for days about his level of booze enthusiasm and geekery and I can’t wait to see what comes next out of HSL’s bar.

Cafe Niche is a modern neighborhood restaurant just blocks from downtown Salt Lake City and on the TRAX line. Stylish and affordable, it is a favorite with locals. The cuisine is cutting edge, but approachable, local, natural, fresh and honest, that shines in the inspired small plates presentations and more traditional fare. A true "local'secret." In summer, diners can enjoy Niche's flower-laden patio. Amazing American-Cafe style food awaits, from the mushroom scramble at brunch, to the famous Sonoma chicken salad at lunch or Chef Andy' Morrison's pineapple and soy glazed salmon for dinner. Sports Salt Lake

Through panels, presentations, break-out sessions, and networking, the summit seeks to develop actionable strategies that foster a healthy, sustainable future for Utah’s skilled artists while uniting and educating our community. The two-day summit, which will be held on the University of Utah campus, will start with breakfast each morning and include panels and featured speakers each day with a break for lunch. There will also be the option of a tour of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts on Friday afternoon. The full itinerary will be announced on December 1 and exact times are tbd.Our featured speakers will address a variety of topics that are broadly relevant to the current cultural climate and to how the visual arts can both mesh with and transform the space we find ourselves in. Our panelists, drawn from the local community, will address issues that are more specific to Utah and the Intermountain West. Summit highlights: March 25 | 7:30 PM An evening with award-winning multidisciplinary artist and cultural innovator, Cannupa Hanska Luger, at Kingsbury for Gardner lecture (Kingsbury Hall) March 26 | 5 PM Keynote address by Arlene Goldbard, a New Mexico-based writer, painter, consultant, and cultural activist who speaks to the importance of the arts in building a sense of community as well as to the value of the arts in a culturally connected world.
