Fall BARK -- Read with a Therapy Dog

Join us for Fall BARK (Bismarck Animals Reading with Kids) at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library! This unique program offers children in Grades K through 5 the opportunity to practice their reading skills with non-judgmental listeners—therapy dogs. Kids can sign up for 20-minute reading sessions with a therapy dog and their handler present. Registration is required and begins on September 8; parents must sign a waiver prior to their child's session. Reading sessions are available on select dates: September 28, September 30, October 1, October 2, October 5, October 7, October 9, October 10, October 12, and October 14, with specific time slots that need to be booked in advance (children may sign up for two reading times).
