Claire Wellin LIVE at Laughing Sun Brewing Co.

Claire Wellin brings her new album, The Sun and Fun Capital of the Midwest, back home to Bismarck on her fall tour. A 2005 graduate of Bismarck High, the violinist singer-songwriter released her first solo record in June on Better Company Records in Brooklyn, NY, where she now lives. The album was made with support from the NY State Council on the Arts and tells the stories of the women who came before her. Drawing on interviews with her grandmothers, great aunt, and extended family and incorporating violin looping, cassette tapes, and other acoustic sounds to explore life, death, and the lessons that emerge in its wake.
