Saint Gianna Medical Professionals Conference

The 5th Annual Saint Gianna Medical Professionals Conference returns to the University of Mary December 4–5, 2026, bringing health care professionals together to explore compassionate, ethical care in an age of rapid technological change. This year’s theme, “Accompanying the Vulnerable: Catholic Bioethics in a Time of Technological Change,” invites participants to consider how we can uphold the dignity of every person while navigating some of today’s most complex challenges in health care. Conference topics will include: • Human dignity and Catholic bioethics in clinical decision-making • Reproductive grief and loss • Compassionate, person-centered palliative care • Caregiver mental health, well-being and resilience • Artificial intelligence in health care and its clinical, moral and human implications Rooted in the example and intercession of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, the conference seeks to equip health care professionals to provide care that is compassionate, courageous, ethical and joyful.
