Famous for our breakfast and our menu of delicious comfort foods, The Coffee Shop at Little America is one of Salt Lake City’s most popular dining choices. Husband and wife team, Marco and Amy Stevanoni, have brought an authentic northern Italian dining experience to Salt Lake City. Born and raised in Verona, Italy, Marco is well known for both, love of his home country and his passionate commitment to classic Italian cuisine. Amy, raised in Salt Lake City, brings her career in marketing, love of art and design, and deep appreciation for Northern Italy. VENETO Ristorante Italiano is a small, intimate restaurant in a repurposed home originally built in 1892, located blocks from the center of downtown Salt Lake City. Once inside, you will feel as though you’ve been transported to a special spot you’d be lucky to stumble upon during an Italian holiday. If you prefer “cenare all’aperto” (outdoor dining), there are two outdoor dining areas. The back patio offers a beautiful and peaceful escape, while dining on the front porch will get you closer to the action of the historic Liberty Wells neighborhood.

You won’t find stereotypical Italian dishes on the menu, but you will be introduced to classic, authentic dishes; an à la carte menu that honors year-round favorites, and a seven-course tasting menu highlighting seasonal specialties from the Veneto region, with optional wine pairings. For beer and wine lovers, there are artisan Italian beers and an extensive wine list which Wine Spectator continuously recognizes as one of the best in the world for its breadth, depth, and superior presentation.

If you didn’t grow up in a family where get-togethers happen over smoked meats, you might not get it. But you don’t have to. What you need to know, is that this is what we do. It’s not fancy. It ain’t pretty. It’s barbecue. A few years back we started doing competitions, and it didn’t take long for a hobby to turn into a job. We made a name for ourselves as men who’ll pick a bone with anyone sayin’ you can’t find ribs outside Memphis or brisket outside Texas. When we finally claimed the top spot as Utah’s best competition BBQ team, a position we still proudly hold, we felt it was time to open a business. There’s nothin’ fast about our food, in fact, it’s downright slow. Mom taught us way back when, with the aid of her most menacing wooden spoon—that if you’re going to do something, you do it right or you don’t do it at all. Dad was a meat cutter and taught us only to use the best of the best and that when you take shortcuts, you get lost. So we don’t do fast food, we do good food.
