Voices & Votes | Election Office Tour & Watch Party

During Early Voting for the midterm election, watch in real time as workers count Weber County's votes. Learn from Ricky Hatch, Weber County Clerk, about how votes are handled, the fascinating security requirements for a ballot, and how the work of democracy is done. This event accompanies "Voices & Votes: Democracy in America," a Smithsonian exhibition that explores the action, reaction, vision, and revision that democracy demands as Americans continue to question how to shape our country. "Voices & Votes: Democracy in America" is made possible in Utah by Utah Humanities and local venues around the state. Voices & Votes is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and State Humanities Councils nationwide. It is based on an exhibition by the National Museum of American History. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress. Visit the exhibition in Ogden from October 24 to December 30, 2026 and learn how Utah connects to this national story through local companion exhibits and public programming.
