You catch your own fish from our spring-fed, pollution-free ponds that are stocked weekly with fish grown right on the farm. Fish in their Farm-Raised Channel Catfish ponds or Rainbow Trout pond. There is even a Children's Trout pond reserved for our little anglers under 10 years old. The environment is so perfect in the ponds, they can even guarantee a catch on every outing!

Spring Valley sits on 20 acres of carefully maintained grounds in a park setting. Visitors can stroll the park which includes nine spring-fed ponds ranging from a half-acre to an acre in size. On these grounds are two covered picnic pavilions which seat up to 100 people each, a children's play area and an authentic American log cabin used as a fishing lodge with handicap restrooms.

Baker Woods Preserve has a mixture of forests and meadows. It is also home to the Chelsea District Library's Storybook Trail. The Storybook Trail displays a children's book along a nature trail, allowing for an interesting experience for hiking and reading outdoors. The Storybook trail is updated seasonally and is recommended for kids of all ages.

Another attractive site nature feature is Mill Creek, which traverses the property from north to south. The creek banks are in good condition and the creek itself is well shaded by adjacent vegetation. The site has a varied topography with especially steep slopes along the course of the creek. A parking lot and trails for public access were constructed in 2014.

Sugar cookies and a smile greet every guest to this 1888 Stick-style residence. Once the home of a founding family of Milan, the Hack House now attracts visitors interested in the architecture, furnishings, and decorative objects of the late Victorian period. Four outbuildings (including a three-seat outhouse) and period gardens complete a pastoral picture of 19th-century life. Tours of the Hack House Museum are scheduled on Fridays from 1-4 p.m. May through November. Special tours for groups may be arranged upon request.
