Spend an afternoon visiting Linus the sloth and his neighbors at our wonderful Bramble Park Zoo. Take a tour of the Redlin Art Center and see the work of one of America's top artists. Check out Mellette House, home of South Dakota's first governor, or drive around our beautiful lakes, Kampeska and Pelican.

You can also take a stroll through beautiful Downtown Watertown and check out the sculptures, shop in some of our one-of-a-kind shops, have a great meal in one of our unique locally-owned eateries or get a dose of history at the Codington County Heritage Museum.

Here in Watertown, we're always looking to the future. The quality of life continues to grow with our new outdoor shooting range, Prairie Lakes Specialty Clinics, Prairie Lakes Wellness Center, Premier Softball Complex, and coming soon, another indoor ice sheet for skating.

The State Soccer Championships, hosted by the South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA), take place October 17, 2026, in Watertown, South Dakota. This interscholastic championship event brings high school soccer teams together for state-level competition under the SDHSAA’s leadership. It is part of the association’s mission to provide equitable participation opportunities and enrich the educational experience of South Dakota students through school activities.&#x20;
