Our second location is located in the great Salt Lake City. An old steel fabrication shop converted to an axe-chucking Mecca complete with old cranes and epoxy remnants on the floor. Salt Lake Social Axe Throwing can host large groups from 6-100 and has 4 dedicated walk-in targets for those experienced throwers. What is better with axe throwing?…a cold beer! Salt Lake Social Axe was issued the first ever beer license for an axe throwing venue in April of 2018. If that isn’t your thing, we offer plenty of non-alcoholic drink options.

Our spectacular new restaurant in Salt Lake City is now open in the heart of Sugarhouse. Our building boasts two dining rooms with floor to ceiling windows, al fresco seating, a large bar, and event space for up to 150 guests. We’re located just steps from the TRAX S-Line Streetcar stop at 900 East. If you’re driving, park in the lot behind us or after 5:30PM parking at the Kimball Office Complex is available exclusively for El Cholo guests. We serve the same famous dishes Los Angelenos have cherished for over 100 years along with some delicious and new chef inspired creations. Our wild salmon is caught from a single family-owned boat out of Petersburg, Alaska, and shipped directly to Tsunami. Tsunami is a member of Strawless SLC. Straws that are provided (upon request) are biodegradable, and water is also served only when requested. All to-go containers and to-go bags are made from compostable materials and Tsunami recycles glass at our Sugar House, Union Heights and South Jordan locations. In 2009, Tsunami was the first restaurant in Utah to stop serving blue fin tuna. The vast majority of our seafood is from sustainable, renewable stock.
