I-15 exit 272. Follow 800 North (SR-52) east until you come to US-189 and Provo Canyon. This 28-mile byway winds through wide, wonderful Provo Canyon where dynamic forces of a past era are revealed in the canyon’s gnarled rock walls and jagged rock formations. Bridal Veil Falls can be seen from the road, and there is a parking area if you want to take a longer look. At the top of the canyon is Deer Creek Reservoir with sailing, boating, fishing, and windsurfing. The byway ends in Heber Valley—home of the Heber Valley Historic Railroad, and Soldier Hollow, a network of cross-country trails built for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and available to the public. A worthwhile side trip is the Alpine Scenic Loop (SR-92), a narrow, windy road famous for fall color drives. It leads past Sundance Resort, the Uinta National Forest, and Timpanogos Cave National Monument.

Adults 55 and over are invited to drop-in and collaborate on an art-making experience with professional illustrator and BYU professor Dave Habben, Fridays October 2nd, 9th, and 16th from 9:00am-10:30am at the Springville Museum of Art. The finished collaborative piece will be included in our upcoming exhibition, In This Together.Dates: Fridays, October 2, 9 & 16Time: 9:00–10:30 a.m.Location: Springville Museum of ArtWho: Adults 55+Cost: Free; all supplies providedExplore connection, community, isolation, and the experience of aging through individual and collaborative drawing. Participants will create artwork together while sharing their experiences and perspectives, culminating in a large collaborative piece that will be featured in the upcoming In This Together exhibition.  
  
No previous art experience is required. Participants may attend as often or as little as they like, and accommodations will be made for all abilities.
