The Museum building was originally the Spencerport Trolley Depot which serviced Spencerport as a stop on the Rochester, Lockport and Buffalo interurban trolley line from 1908 to 1931. After serving as a family home for 60 years, a massive restoration took place in the mid-2000s restoring it, moving it and transforming it into the Spencerport Depot and Canal Museum. The Museum has been open since 2007 and opens seasonally during the Erie Canal season. The museum displays history about the Erie Canal as well as telecommunication, transportation and local history. It sits alongside the Erie Canal in the center of Spencerport and doubles as a welcome center and boater’s facility.

Agri tourism is what Lazy Acre is all about. We are 100 acre farm at the foot hills of the finger lakes who offer guided tours of our alpaca farm. Your tour is a walking tour learning about the history of our 200 year old farm and alpacas. We will walk thru the vintage barns and learn how they were once used and how they now are being used for our alpaca business. Stops on the tour are the treatment room , shearing barn and the loafing shed. You will watch a couple of short video on the shearing and processing of the beautiful alpaca fiber. the highlight of the tour is feeding the Alpacas and the resident goats Zeke and Henry. At the end of the tour you can explore our 2 story gift with everything alpaca theme. Everyone will find something to take home with them.

Sunday, October 4 at 2 pm at The Harley School, families with children ages 2–10 are invited to Bebop to Bach, a free, lively introduction to music that gets kids listening, moving, and exploring. Young audiences can groove to jazzy tunes, take part in interactive activities that highlight instruments and musical concepts, and then get an up-close look at the instruments during a special petting zoo. Designed for children and their parents, this engaging performance is open to the public and offers a fun, hands-on way to experience music together.
