Pool Play Format with Championship Games in Applicable Divisions / Top 2 teams from 1 pool or the  top 1 team from each of two pools depending on the number of total teams in the division advance to play the championship.  All other teams are eliminated after the guaranteed pool play games. There are no consolation games.

WINTER HOOPS 1

Garden State Basketball Tournaments have been the best in New Jersey for over 20 years. Our events are very well organized, competitively balanced, and professionally staffed and operated. The events are always conducted at first class facilities and include many New Jersey Colleges and basketball facilities.

We have incorporated a comfortable, user friendly level of technology into our events. Our website is all inclusive. It includes On Line Registration, Payment, Team Keys, Game Schedules, Rules, Facilities, Directions and Game Results. Our events are run all throughout the year. They include specialty format events such as College Exposure Showcases, weekend events, one day tourneys, bracket challenges and tourneys for a cause. These events are open to boys and girls teams, ages 10 through 17. Participants include AAU, high school, travel, CYO, PAL, YMCA and many other club teams. They are well attended and growing in participation every year. Over 8,000 boys and girls teams have participated in our tournament events since 2000.

To further demonstrate their popularity, our events have welcomed teams from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, North Carolina and Canada. Increasing popularity and team attendance at these events, has resulted in increased interest and attendance by college coaches, scouts and college recruiting services. This has helped many players to be noticed and identified and helped them on to further their college basketball careers.
