For four decades, Diversity and Inclusion has served as the foundation of Dallas Cup's core values. The tournament's diversity starts with elite athletes from around the world and extends to cultural education initiatives in the community. With at least 30 countries represented every year, Dallas Cup is North Texas' most diverse and international annual event. Since its inception in 1980, Dallas Cup has enjoyed a rich history of combining marquee teams and talented up-and-coming players with the ability to forge long lasting friendships and memories across many nationalities and cultures. Below are some of the interesting facts that makes Dallas Cup so special.
 

-Mission Statement: To promote the well-being of young people through athletic competition, cultural appreciation, and educational opportunities.
       
-To ensure the highest level of competition each year, the Dallas Cup is an invitation only tournament.
       
-Consisting of age groups from U12 to U19 in the Boys category and U16 to U19 in the Girls category (new in 2021), Dallas Cup averages more than 100,000 spectators during tournament week.
 
-Throughout the tournament’s history, Dallas Cup has hosted teams from 48 U.S. states and over 100 countries, across 6 continents.
   
-Over 900 international players participate in the tournament each year.
 
-The Dallas Cup contributes more than $38 million annually to the local North Texas economy.   
    

Dallas Cup - International Youth Soccer Tournament 

Held every spring during Easter Week, the invitation-only Dallas Cup selects the best teams out of the hundreds of qualified applications the tournament receives each year.  Although there have been several iterations over the years to the format, Dallas Cup is currently comprised of nine age groups in the Boys category from U-12 through U-19, including the prestigious U-19 Gordon Jago Super Group, and four age groups in the Girls category from U-16 through U-19. The tournament traditionally consists of approximately 40% international teams, 40% state-side teams and 20% Dallas area teams.  Each year more than 100,000 spectators watch teams from all over the world participating in intense games where only the best return home with the Dallas Cup Champion’s prize, the coveted Boot and Ball trophy.
