Paradragons USA (PDUSA) https://www.paradragonsusa.org is seeking information for potential locations for training camps in late 2024 as well as 2025 and 2026. We have some potential locations identified but encourage information from other locations for consideration.
PDUSA promotes the sport of Dragon Boat among para athletes and non-para communities by providing education, training, and community support. We work with athletes, coaches, and crews to start para teams, as well as provide high-level coaching for athletes striving to compete at the international level.
We host various programs throughout the continental US and Puerto Rico. They include: • In-person training camps from 1 to 5 days in duration • Educational workshops - in-person and virtual • Travel grants to provide paradragons financial assistance to attend camps as well as regional, national, and international competitions.
Paradragons are athletes with a range of challenges, including physical, psychological, neurological, sensory, developmental, and intellectual. The challenges that qualify as paradragons are much broader than that used by the Paralympics.
