About Alabama Senior Olympics 2022 - Pickleball

The Alabama Senior Olympics was established in 1987 to provide an opportunity for seniors 50 years of age and older to participate in a social, competitive, recreational and athletic event. Through these events, we hope to create awareness of the abilities and capabilities of older adults; help maintain and improve health and wellness; and to promote an interest in lifetime sports, recreation and physical activity.

The 2022 Alabama Senior Olympics will be a qualifier for the 2023 National Senior Games to be held in Pittsburg, PA.

Skill ratings are based on USAPA (United States of America Pickleball Association). Through the NSGA, we are allowed 3 skill divisions along with 5-year age divisions.

Here are the following divisions:

Division 1: 3.0 and below
Division 2: 3.5
Division 3: 4.0 and above

When registering, please know your skill level to enter into the system. Doubles will be decided by the youngest players age & the highest players skill level.
